Google Pays $12,000 to Man Who Owned Google.com Domain for 1 Minute Crazy Right?

Google Logo
You may remember back in September of last year when a man named Sanmay Ved purchased the world’s most valuable domain name, Google.com, for $12. The former Google employee said he found the domain up for sale on the listings, and decided to try purchasing it just for fun. He didn’t think the transaction would go through, but much to Ved’s surprise, he was able to charge his card the $12 and own the domain name… for one minute.
Of course, Google was quick to notice something wasn’t quite right when they all of a sudden didn’t own their domain name anymore and cancelled the transaction just after it was originally created. However, as payment for Ved noticing the error, Google told Ved they’d send him a payment for $6,006.13. Why such a specific amount? Well, if you look closely, you can see that 600613 is GOOGLE in numbers (or at least as close to it as you can get).
Ved immediately chose to donate the money to a charity, and when Google found this out, they doubled the payment to $12,012.26. The money was donated to the charity Art of Living India Foundation, a non-profit that runs schools in areas in India that are high in poverty for free.
Google has been known to pay their users for errors found in Google’s system, including over $35,000 for a security researcher working on checking Android for problems. So, if you happen to run across a security issue with Google, be sure to let them know, as you may get some cold hard cash for your Internet stumbling!

Apple TV Review – The Best Media Player of 2015?

1451288167_featured.jpeg
The 2015 Apple TV is the best product if you want to give some new life to your old (or new) tv. The interface is beautiful and very simple to navigate through. The controller is small yet packed with features and the box itself is simple and minimal. Some people aren’t even considering getting the Apple TV due to its lack of 4K support but as an owner of a 4K tv I can tell you that this isn’t as big of a deal as it has been made out to be. My 4K tv is able to upscale the Apple TV’s interface, games, and videos to the point where everything looks like it is 4K content. If Apple had said that this had 4K support then I would not have doubted it since everything just looks amazing on a 4K TV.
The full video review of the Apple TV can be seen below but if you just want a rundown of what makes this better to the other boxes in the market, I will tell you straight away that it’s the UI and Apps. The iOS App Store is a testament of how good Apple is at getting developers to get apps on their platforms and the tvOS store is no different. Apps are being added all the time and will keep being added which is completely different to the competition right now. The UI of the Apple TV is also very modern and simple which gives your tv a breath of fresh air and it also makes it easy for all of your family members to be able to use it.

Turn any Picture into a Live Wallpaper on your iPhone 6s

1454280528_featured.png
If you have an iPhone 6s then you probably know about Live Photos which are photos that you can tap and hold on to see moments before and after the picture was captured. The cool thing about live photos is that they can be set as a wallpaper on the lock screen and still have the touch functionality. But what happens when you want to add some motion to your pictures that aren’t live photos? This is where the iOS App LivePapers comes in, it allows you to take a picture or import any picture and add a really cool 3D Touch effect to them. Here is a video review of the app which is available in the App Store for $1.99…

Is Samsung's new galaxy view to big?

Is Samsung's new galaxy view to big?

15 years ago there was only one screen in front of you, the TV or two if you were lucky to have a computer. Now days your in front of screens that come in all shapes and sizes like smartphones, tablets, smart watches, TV's, desktops, laptops and much more.

Now we have one more device that you can watch YouTube, Netflix, hulu  or what ever streaming service at the palm off your hand or in this case on your desk because the Samsung galaxy view is 18.4 inches and weighs five pounds

Samsung is saying that this tablet/TV is a streaming device that you could carry room to room with its convenient handle. So is the view part of a new line of products that fall in between the TV and Tablet. Its a nice dream but do we really need a new screen in front of our faces and for a price tag of 600$ who knows if it will catch on.

Big, plastic, and is that a handle?

The View is huge. It's larger than many 17-inch laptops. The entire casing is plastic all the way through and reeks of old Samsung design. Where's the premium metals and wafer-thin design? Where's all the sex appeal of the Galaxy S6, Note 5 and Tab S2? And don't tell me the bulge in the middle of the kickstand that also houses the built-in speakers is sleek because it's artfully "hidden". It's not.

Apple Unveils New Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2

1444767462_featured.jpeg
Apple has finally released a new Wireless Keyboard, Mouse, and Trackpad. All of these devices connect via bluetooth and come with an intergrated rechargeable battery that is re-charged via the included lightning cable.
The Magic Keyboard combines a sleek new design with a built-in rechargeable battery and enhanced key features. With an improved scissor mechanism beneath each key for increased stability, as well as optimized key travel and a lower profile, the Magic Keyboard provides a remarkably comfortable and precise typing experience. It pairs automatically with your Mac, so you can get to work right away. And the battery is incredibly long-lasting — it will power your keyboard for about a month or more between charges.
Featuring a new design, Magic Mouse 2 is completely rechargeable, so you’ll eliminate the use of traditional batteries. It’s lighter, has fewer moving parts thanks to its built-in battery and continuous bottom shell, and has an optimized foot design — all helping Magic Mouse 2 track easier and move with less resistance across your desk. And the Multi-Touch surface allows you to perform simple gestures such as swiping between web pages and scrolling through documents. Magic Mouse 2 is ready to go right out of the box and pairs automatically with your Mac.
Redesigned and rechargeable, Magic Trackpad 2 includes a built-in battery and brings Force Touch to the desktop for the first time. Four force sensors underneath the trackpad surface allow you to click anywhere, and detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing increased functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content. Magic Trackpad 2 also features an edge-to-edge glass surface area that is nearly 30 percent larger than the previous trackpad. This design, along with a lower profile, makes scrolling and swiping through your favorite content more productive and comfortable than ever.

All of these devices are available today from Apple’s Online Store. The Magic Keyboard retails for $99. The Magic Mouse 2 retails for $79. Lastly, the Magic Trackpad 2 retails for $129 thus making it much more expensive than the previous generation.
